He will be speaking to us about his experiences during his 10 month adventure in Buenos Aires. We will also have a special guest, Brian Desvars who is an incoming Exchange Student from Paraguay. Dairy nutrition and about Fill a Glass with Hope campaign

Amanda Rees is the Montgomery County Dairy Princess for this year. She is in her senior year of studies in large animal and dairy science at Delaware valley University. She is from a 30-acre farm in Limerick, Pa, where she raises dairy steers. She is very passionate about the dairy industry because of the goodness of hard work to produce a nutritious product. Her topic of discussion with be Dairy nutrition and about Fill a Glass with Hope campaign she is raising money for. For every dollar raised, a family in need will get 8 servings of dairy.

Ron is the proprietor of a 25 year old urban butterfly habitat in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. He is best known as a butterfly educator in the state of Pennsylvania. For the past 15 years Mr. Yeager has provided the Risk Management , Security Management training and Security System redesign for the House of Blues / Live Nation Corporation, SBE Entertainment Group, Lucky Strike Entertainment, the Gaylord Hotel chain and The Oncenter – Pirro Convention Center. Since 1995 Mr. Yeager has trained over 100,000 local, state and federal law enforcement officers. Mr. Yeager is a frequent expert with media outlets including a featured episode of Forensic Files [“Bump and Run” Season 3, Episode 21 2002] and a new History Channel series entitled ‘True Monsters’. Mr. Yeager has lectured at many higher education institutions throughout the U.S. such as Drexel and Howard universities. Mr. Yeager is an instructor for the Neumann University and Peirce College Criminal Justice Programs. In 2005, Mr. Yeager was appointed to the development committee for the Fairleigh Dickinson University, School Security& Safety Administration Masters program. Overview of SCORE, a small business mentoring program

Mr Gensler and Dr. Collins will give us a presentation about SCORE, a small business mentoring program. Dr. Collings will also share her personal experiences on how SCORE helped her 20 years ago to start her consulting company Positive Trends, Inc. She attended a SCORE Pottstown Chapter women's symposium in Limerick this past June and became inspired to become a volunteer at SCORE.
About Score: SCORE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free business mentoring services to prospective and established small business owners in the United States. More than 10,000 volunteers provide these services, with all volunteers being active and retired business executives and entrepreneurs.[1] In addition to mentoring, SCORE also offers free and low-cost educational workshops each year, both online and in-person. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration. It operates out of 300 chapters across the U.S., with national headquarters in Herndon, Virginia.[1] |

Brian Desvars is a Rotary Exchange student from Paraguay and has been attending school at Methaction High School since August. He aply played Santa Claus this year in our 62nd Annual Collegeville Rotary Halloween Parade. He had never been inside a fire engine, and was very happy to have experienced this at such a young age, 17! He will be speaking to our club about his home country and family and about his Exchange experience has been so far. |
