11-12 June — Rotaract Preconvention, Taipei, Taiwan Author Matt Cubbler will be addressing what it was like to lose his business during the Pandemic in 2020, how he created his inteview business on YouTube, and the challenges associated with Defund the Police, and the Cancel Culture to eliminate or reduce support of a police force. His presentation will not be political."Matt Cubbler has lived a lifetime of selfless service. It began during his childhood living in public housing; protecting his autistic older brother, Andy, from those who wished to do him harm because he was different. It continued through his service to our nation as a US Army Intelligence Soldier during the Persian Gulf War. After his enlistment ended, Cubbler began his 25 year law enforcement career – highlighted by his time as an elite member of the United States Federal Air Marshal Service immediately after the tragedy of “9/11”. In 2009, Cubbler was bit by the entrepreneurial bug. He co-founded his revolutionary strength equipment manufacturing company and fitness facility called Maxout where he helped everyone from athletes to average Joe’s as well as those suffering with neurological/neuromuscular injury and/or disease. While COVID forced him to close his gym permanently, Cubbler continues to manufacture their patented technology, eForce, which currently is used in high school, college and pro strength training facilities across the country. Cubbler has always had a talent for writing and his greatest work manifested itself when he penned the critically acclaimed memoir - "A Brother's Love: A Memoir" - which detailed his life with his brother, Andy and the years that followed his untimely death in 1989. Today, Cubbler is entrenched in his new found passion as a public speaker and host of the Two Dates and a Dash Podcast. Cubbler wakes up every day with the passion and drive to positively impact the community he serves and the world he is trying to change – one heart at a time! Cubbler has become a highly sought after public speaker and podcast host as a result of his ability to captivate an audience and share not only his story, but the stories of so many other amazing people. June 2021 Rotary Theme is Rotary Fellowships Month 11-12 June — Rotaract Preconvention, Taipei, Taiwan Future World Leaders Part II Our January 2021 guest speaker Aastha Bansal will have completed her freshman year at Emory U in Atlanta by the time she gives her presentation. Learn about Aastha's first year at university, how her charity The Future Einsteins has grown, and what new accomplishments she has had in the past school year. In her words~ Remote Area Medical™ is a larger nonprofit organization that sets up weekend clinics with partnered communities across the United States. These clinics provide free medical, dental, and vision care to underserved or uninsured individuals. In the greater part of Georgia, there are many remote areas where there is a lack of access to healthcare resources. Nowadays, the number of rural hospital foreclosures is steadily increasing. By providing free and publicly accessible care, RAM empowers local communities by improving the health of thousands of individuals. By supporting this project, you can help my organization work towards accomplishing our two goals: sending a group of Emory students to volunteer at various free clinics set up by RAM throughout the year and helping our group plan and set up our own clinic to be hosted in Fall 2021 in Louisville, Georgia in partnership with RAM. We have raised $11,000 but need to reach our goal of $40,000! I would like to invite you to help us bring healthcare to rural Georgia. Donations of any size are highly appreciated. You can donate to us at: https://momentum.emory.edu/project/25817. I cannot express how much I appreciate your support of Emory Remote Area Medical and our mission. We look forward to our Louisville, GA clinic and volunteer trips to other RAM clinics. Best, Aastha Bansal WOW!
