Based on Rotary's Four Way Test : First, is it the truth?, Second, is it fair to all concerned?, Third, will it build good will and better friends?, Fourth is it beneficial to all concerned?, we offer a local speech contest to three local high schools: Valley Forge Baptist Academy, Perkiomen Valley and Methacton. 

This endeavor is an excellent supplement to many programs you have within your school
such as the gifted, college preparatory, speech/debate and theater. Communication
and presentation skills are important, now more than ever, and this program gives
students the opportunity to enhance their skills, add to their academic resume and win
cash prizes.

Contest Rationale

Promote critical thinking and ethical decision making among high school students
Provide a forum for high school students to showcase issues that they care about
Allow high school students to practice their public speaking skills
Encourage scholarship and academic research
Gain exposure to Rotary and the local club among the youth and school personnel

We will have a fabulous group of experienced facilitators who will make your experience both enriching and informative at this year's IN-Person RLI at the lovely Gambet Center on the DeSales University Campus. We will offer Parts I, II, III and this year's Graduate course on Advanced Strategic Planning. Remember, attending a Rotary Leadership Institute session allows you to share your experiences and learn from others who are experiencing similar challenges in their Rotary clubs and finding ways to serve their communities.

Come join us for a stream clean up along Frist Ave in Collegeville. Turn onto Chiestnut and drive back toward the Perkiomen Creek. 

Come join us at Pat and Jack Keeney's home for fun and fellowship while we prep for It's A Spring Thing. We will be stuffing envelopes with raffle basket tickets. Please bring a beverage of your choice and an appetizer to share. 

Collegeville Rotary Club is proud to be hosting this fun filled event to bring the community together and to raise funds.  Funds will be used to provide scholarships for local area high school students to attend The Rotary Youth Leadership Camp at Camp Neidig in June as well other local charities.

Camp Neidig (www.CampNeidig.com) is a program sponsored by Rotary Clubs in Southeastern Pennsylvania since 1950.  Its main objective is to provide young men and women the opportunity to build teams and work together in a dynamic learning environment.  They will learn skills to deal with contemporary problems, ethical dilemmas and critical decision making that will contribute to their development as future leaders.  

Up to eight students will be selected from Perkiomen Valley HS, Methacton HS & Valley Forge Baptist Academy this year to attend this life impacting camp.
