Collegeville Rotary club is proud to congratulate its own Vince Raffeo as the 2018 recipient of the Marvin J. Lewis Community Service Award.
This award is presented by the Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce on 4/5/18 to a member of the community who qualifies both in deed and spirit and who, through their long-term efforts and involvement, have made a significant, positive impact upon life within the Perkiomen Valley.  Each year the recipient is chosen by the Chamber’s Board of Directors from a number of nominations submitted by its members.

Mr. Raffeo is certainly deserving of this honor. In addition to being a past president and longtime member of Collegeville Rotary, he has served the community in countless ways.  Vince is a volunteer with Pottstown SCORE; and served as a board member of both the Collegeville Economic Development Corporation and Visiting Nurse Association.  He volunteers in several community athletic leagues, is an honorary member of the Collegeville Fire Company, and serves as a judge for the Montgomery County Youth Panel.  Most of the community will recognize him for his generosity of time, finances and the regular use of his Main Street property for the Collegeville Halloween Parade and Farmer’s Market.

Past Rotarian recipients of the Marvin J. Lewis award include Randy Riegner (1995) and Thomas Keenan, Esquire (2009).  Friends of Rotary who are past recipients include Connie Peck (2006), Debbie Riegner (2010) and Reverend Martha Kriebel (2016).
