Dr. Martha Kriebel
Senior Pastor at UCC Trinity Church in Collegeville

Pastor Martha became Trinity’s sixth pastor, when called in 1979 from serving as Assistant Conference Minister of the UCC’s Pennsylvania Southeast Conference; prior to that she pastored Palm Schwenkfelder Church. After graduating from Philadelphia High School for Girls, she attended Ursinus College as a pre-med student but before entering medical school, felt the call to prepare for the ministry at Lancaster Theological Seminary, followed by a graduate degree at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, and the Doctor of Divinity degree from Ursinus College. Her interests are Reformation and local history, authoring books, including “Schwenkfelders and the Sacraments,” “Retracing Our Roots,” and “A Stole is a Towel," and worship resources. In addition to serving on local committees and a county agency, she chairs the PSEC Ecumenical Relations Mission Team which, along with Trinity Church, is in partnership with Germany’s Anhalt District Church.

Her husband, the Rev. Howard L. Kriebel, ordained clergy, teacher, and guidance counsel, their sons, Jonathan and David, spouses, three grandchildren and three step-grandchildren, and a wonderful congregation provide the prayerful support to enjoy being in the parish ministry.
