A field of American flags will bring the community together this Veterans Day in a moving tribute to those who served.
This November, the Collegeville Area Rotary & Foundation is introducing a new community initiative, Salute to Service, bringing together patriotism, remembrance, and the Rotary spirit of Service Above Self.
From November 9–13, 2026, approximately 100 American flags will proudly stand in military-style formation on the field next to the Lower Providence Fire Department along Ridge Pike in Eagleville, Pennsylvania. Each flag will represent a personal tribute to a veteran, active-duty service member, or loved one who has served our country.
At the heart of this initiative is a simple but meaningful idea: Honoring those who served, one flag at a time.
Community members, families, businesses, and fellow Rotarians are invited to dedicate a flag for $100. Each dedication includes a personalized medallion that will be displayed with the flag throughout the event and presented to the purchaser as a keepsake afterward.
On Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11, at noon, the club will host a special ceremony at the field. The gathering will bring together veterans, families, local dignitaries, and community members to reflect on the meaning of service and express appreciation for the sacrifices made by our military men and women. The ceremony is free and open to everyone.
While honoring veterans is the centerpiece of Salute to Service, the initiative also supports the charitable work of the Collegeville Area Rotary & Foundation. Through flag dedications and business sponsorships, the club hopes to strengthen its ability to serve individuals and families throughout its local communities.
For our club, this is more than a Veterans Day observance. It is an opportunity to create a new tradition that brings generations together, shares personal stories of service, and reminds our neighbors of the important role Rotary plays in the community.
We invite our fellow District 7430 Rotarians to be part of this special initiative. Whether you dedicate a flag in honor of someone who served, share the event with friends and family, or simply join us for the Veterans Day ceremony, your participation will help make this first year meaningful.
