Ravi Kurumety, a dedicated Collegeville Rotarian and Worcester Township resident, is set to take on an exciting new role as the Assistant Governor for Area 5 in District 7430.

His journey with Rotary, spanning over a decade, reflects a deep commitment to service, leadership, and community engagement.

A Global Journey to Pennsylvania
Born in India, Ravi immigrated to the United States at the age of 12, embracing a life that spanned eight states before finding his home in Pennsylvania. Armed with a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati, Ravi’s professional career has been as impressive as his Rotary journey. Currently serving as a Chief Information Officer, he balances his professional responsibilities with a tireless dedication to Rotary’s mission.

Leadership in Rotary
Since joining the Collegeville Rotary Club in 2012, Ravi has been a cornerstone of the organization, holding key leadership roles that include serving as Club President for two consecutive terms (2019-20 and 2020-21). He has chaired the Youth Programs and Foundation committees and now leads as President of the Collegeville Rotary Club Foundation.

Ravi’s leadership has consistently been marked by innovation and an unwavering commitment to Rotary’s core values. As Assistant Governor, he is poised to bring his visionary leadership to Area 5, fostering collaboration and growth among clubs.

Family Roots in Rotary
Ravi’s Rotary story is intertwined with his family’s passion for service. His daughter Sasha played a pivotal role in introducing him to Rotary when she co-founded the Interact Club at Methacton High School in 2012. Since then, Rotary has become a family affair, with the Kurumetys embracing its global impact through the Youth Exchange program. Ravi’s son, Sahas, participated in an exchange to Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2017-18, and the family hosted an inbound student from Paraguay in 2018-19, forging lifelong connections across continents.

As Ravi steps into his new role as Assistant Governor, his leadership promises to inspire and empower Rotarians in Area 5 and beyond. His journey exemplifies the power of Rotary to unite people from diverse backgrounds in service and fellowship, creating lasting change both locally and globally.
