Recognizing the Generosity of Our Sponsors and Community Partners
As President of Collegeville Area Rotary & Foundation and a United States Marine Corps veteran, this year's Salute to Service holds special meaning for me.
On November 9, 100 American flags will stand proudly in Lower Providence, each representing something greater than the flag itself. Behind every dedication is a veteran, a family, a memory, and a story of service that deserves to be remembered.
When we first began planning Salute to Service, our vision was to create something meaningful for the entire community. We wanted to provide a place where families could honor those who served, where veterans could see that their sacrifices are remembered, and where younger generations could gain a greater appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy.
Turning that vision into reality takes more than an idea. It takes people willing to step forward and help.
I want to personally recognize our Patriot, Eagle, Liberty, and Freedom Sponsors, along with the businesses that generously contributed materials, supplies, and services. Their support has been instrumental in bringing this tribute to our community.
What makes their generosity especially meaningful is that they are not simply supporting an event. They are helping us recognize the men and women who answered the call to serve our country. They are demonstrating what community partnership looks like and reminding us that honoring our veterans is a responsibility we all share.
I am equally grateful to our Rotary members, volunteers, and everyone who has dedicated a flag in honor of someone special. Each contribution, whether financial, material, or personal, has helped make Salute to Service possible.
I invite everyone to visit the flag display November 9–13 at the field next to the Lower Providence Fire Department on Ridge Pike in Eagleville. Please join us for our Veterans Day Ceremony on Wednesday, November 11, at noon, as we come together to recognize the service and sacrifice of our nation's veterans.
As a veteran, I know that service does not end when the uniform comes off. It continues through the ways we support one another, strengthen our communities, and honor those who came before us.
To our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and community members, thank you for standing with us.
Together, we are doing more than displaying 100 flags. We are making sure 100 stories of service are remembered.
